Who we are
New Bangalore Ham Shop (NBHS) operates the website newbangalorehamshop.com and the NBHS mobile apps for Android and iOS. We sell fresh meat and related products for delivery in Bengaluru. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and our mobile apps.
Information we collect
Account and contact details you give us: name, phone number, email address, and delivery addresses. Location: when you allow it, we use precise location while the app is open so we can show nearby delivery hubs, confirm your pin, and estimate delivery. We do not collect location in the background. Orders and payments: items, quantities, prices, and payment status. Card and UPI payments are processed by Cashfree. We do not store your full card number or UPI PIN. Photos you upload: a profile picture or photos you attach to order feedback. Device and app data: device type, app version, crash logs, and push-notification tokens so we can send order updates. Sign-in: if you use Google, Apple, or Facebook to sign in, we receive the name and email those services share with us.
How we use information
We use this information to create and manage your account, take and deliver orders, process payments, send order and promotional notifications you can turn off, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the app and website. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Who we share information with
We share only what is needed to run the service: Cashfree for payments, Google Maps for maps and geocoding, Firebase (Google) for push notifications and crash reporting, and our delivery partners and warehouse hubs to fulfil your order. Sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook) receive only what you authorize during login. We may disclose information if required by Indian law.
Retention
We keep account, address, and order records for as long as your account is open and as required for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution. You may ask us to delete your account. We will delete or anonymise personal data that we no longer need, except where we must keep it by law.
Your rights
You can access and update your profile and addresses in the app. You can turn off location, camera, photos, and notifications in your device settings. You can delete your account in the app (see “How to delete your account” below) or by emailing admin@newbangalorehamshop.com. You can opt out of promotional messages at any time.
How to delete your account
You can delete your New Bangalore Ham Shop account in the mobile app, or by email. In the app: 1. Open the New Bangalore Ham Shop app and sign in. 2. Tap Menu, then tap Profile. 3. Tap Delete account. 4. Confirm. If you have no active order, the account is removed immediately. By email: Write to admin@newbangalorehamshop.com with the subject “Delete my account”. Include your registered mobile number. We process email requests within 7 days. What we delete: your name, phone, email, saved addresses, profile photo, login, and app account. What we may keep: tax and invoice records required under Indian law, and details of an order that is still being delivered until it is completed or cancelled. Those records are then deleted or anonymised. You cannot delete the account while an order is still running. Finish or cancel it first, then delete.
Children
The app and website are not directed at children under 13. You must be 18 or have a parent or guardian’s permission to place an order.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard payment processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
